Jen Taylor was Princess Daisy's second voice actress and was also the voice behind Princess Peach, Toad, Toadette and Birdo in several games during the early to mid-2000's.
Jen Taylor was born on February 17th, 1973 in Seattle, Washington, United States and attended school at Oxford University. She has voiced several Nintendo characters including Princess Daisy.
Jen Taylor began working for Nintendo in Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64, where she was the voice behind Princess Peach and Toad. She then went on to voice characters in thirty Mario games before ending her career with Nintendo in 2006 in order to work more in the Seattle's Children's Theater.
As Princess Daisy
When Princess Daisy made her return in Mario Tennis for the Nintendo 64, it was Jessica Chisum who voiced Daisy. It wasn't until Daisy's next appearance being Mario Party 3, where Jen would begin voicing her. Jen's career as Princess Daisy was short lived, as she only voiced Daisy in Mario Party 3, Mario Party 4, and Mario Party 5. Deanna Mustard began voicing Daisy in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour. Mario Party 5 was released after Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, but Daisy was still voiced by Taylor in this game. Daisy's voice clips were reused from Mario Party 4.
After ending her career voicing Mario characters in 2006, Samantha Kelly took her place voicing Peach, Toad, Toadette, and would later voice Baby Peach and Pink Gold Peach. Her voice clips for Peach and Toad from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! are still used in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, a game released several years after Jen ended her career with Nintendo.
The following is a list of Mario games in which Jen Taylor has voiced Daisy.
- Despite Mario Party 5 being released after Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, Deanna Mustard didn't voice Daisy in that game. Mario Party 5 reused Daisy's voice clips from Mario Party 4.
- Jen Taylor is the only voice actress who has voiced both Peach and Daisy.
- Jen's favorite game is Super Princess Peach.
