Conker the Squirrel is a character created by Rare that first appeared in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64 as one of the playable characters in the game. He was called by Timber to help him save the island from the evil Wizpig's control. He mostly appears exclusively in his own series of game titles created by Rare for the Game Boy Color, the Nintendo 64, and the Xbox game systems. Originally created as a harmless children's character, Conker's personality was drastically altered for the game Conker's Bad Fur Day in an effort to appeal to a more mature audience. These changes included making Conker be a bad-mouthed, alcoholic, and perverted squirrel. The other characters in the game were also made out to be incredibly inappropriate for younger audiences, such as the Great Mighty Poo, a boss entirely made out of fecal matter who uses balls of poo as his attacks.

- Conker goes Call of Duty and Halo style in the game, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and its remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded. Both are rated M for Mature.
- After Conker's Bad Fur Day, he no longer appeared on any Nintendo game system.
