Bee Mario is the form Mario takes upon obtaining a Bee Mushroom in Super Mario Galaxy. This power-up allows Mario to fly for a limited period of time, in order to reach places higher and further than he can reach without it. Landing on any surface recharges Mario's ability to fly relatively quickly, so that he can take off again, but landing in water, as with any power-up in the game, reduces him to his regular, power-upless state. Another ability Bee Mario possesses is that to climb vertically on walls covered with honey; and, because Bee Mario is light, he is able to rest on certain flower petals and clouds: any other form of Mario falls straight through these.
Its first appearance in the game is in the Honeyhive Galaxy, with further occurrences in Gold Leaf Galaxy, Sand Spiral Galaxy, Sea Slide Galaxy and Honeyclimb Galaxy.
